Questions - False Questions
What , When , Where , Why , Who , Which , Whose , How , etc são palavras interrogativas e podem introduzir:
1. Perguntas ( questions)
Ex.:
Where does
he live?
2. Falsas perguntas ( false questions)
Ex.:
Do you know where he lives?
NOTE: No segundo caso ( false questions - embedded
questions) , apenas a primeira parte da oração assume a
forma interrogativa.
Ex.:
a. When does he come ? ( question)
Do you know when he comes ? ( false question)
b. What did he say ? ( question)
Do you know what he said ? ( false question)
c. Why is she sad ? ( question)
Do you know why she is sad ? ( false question)
d. Where are they going ? ( question)
Do you know where they are going ? ( false question)
