1. Would rather('d rather) expressa preferência no presente. Tem o mesmo sentido do verbo prefer.

Ex:

would rather take a taxi.

She
prefers to take a taxi.

conselho, recomendação
.

Ex:

You look sick. You

a doctor.



As formas interrogativas e negativas fazem-se do seguinte modo:

Had better

Interrogative form: Had you better eat this apple?

Negative form: You'd better not eat this apple.
